This Privacy Policy describes how ProdXVerse ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects the personal information of students, applicants, and visitors ("you") who interact with our website at prodxverse.com and our educational programs.
By submitting an application, enrolling in a cohort, or using our platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please do not use our services.
Data we collect
We collect information in three broad categories depending on how you interact with ProdXVerse:

How we use your data
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Program delivery: To review your application, communicate decisions, and grant access to course materials, live sessions, and community channels.
- Mentorship & feedback: Mentors use your academic data (submissions, attendance, progress) to provide personalised reviews and coaching.
- Certification: Your name and completion status are used to generate and issue your certificate of completion.
- Career placement: With your explicit consent, we share your portfolio and professional profile with hiring partners and companies actively recruiting product designers.
- Outcome reporting: Aggregated, anonymised data about cohort outcomes (e.g., "average salary increase post-cohort") is used on our website and in marketing materials. Individual data is never shared without consent.
- Communication: We send program updates, deadline reminders, session links, and community announcements. You may opt out of marketing emails at any time.
- Platform improvement: Usage data helps us understand how students navigate the program and improve our curriculum and experience.
- Legal compliance: Where required by Indian law (IT Act, 2000; DPDP Act, 2023) or other applicable regulations.
Data sharing & third parties
ProdXVerse does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to advertisers or data brokers under any circumstances.
We share data only with the following parties, strictly on a need-to-know basis:
- Mentors and facilitators: Program instructors access your academic progress and submission data to deliver personalised feedback.
- Payment processors: Razorpay (India) and Stripe process payments. They operate under their own privacy policies. We do not store card or UPI details on our servers.
- Communication tools: Discord (community), Google Meet/Zoom (live sessions), Loom (video feedback). Each platform operates under its own privacy policy.
- Hiring partners (with consent only): If you opt into job placement assistance, we share your portfolio link, LinkedIn profile, and professional summary with companies in our hiring network. You may withdraw this consent at any time.
- Legal obligations: We may disclose data when required by law, court order, or government authority under applicable Indian regulations.
Cookies & tracking
Our website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to improve your experience. We use:
- Essential cookies: Required for basic website functionality (login sessions, form submissions). Cannot be disabled.
- Analytics cookies: Google Analytics helps us understand which pages are most visited and where users drop off. Data is anonymised.
- Marketing cookies: Used for retargeting on platforms such as Meta (Facebook/Instagram). You can opt out via your browser settings or the consent banner.
You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings at any time. Disabling non-essential cookies will not affect your access to course materials.
Data storage & security
Your data is stored on secure, encrypted servers hosted in India (AWS ap-south-1, Mumbai region). We implement the following security measures:
- TLS/SSL encryption for all data in transit
- AES-256 encryption for data at rest
- Role-based access control — only authorised team members can access student records
- Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
- Two-factor authentication required for all internal admin accounts
We retain your personal data for a period of 3 years following the conclusion of your program, after which it is securely deleted unless you have opted into our alumni network (in which case we retain your professional profile until you request deletion).
In the event of a data breach that may affect your personal information, we will notify you by email within 72 hours of becoming aware of the incident, in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India).
Your rights
Under applicable Indian privacy law (DPDP Act, 2023), you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right to access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Right to erasure: Request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention obligations (e.g., financial records must be kept for 7 years under Indian tax law).
- Right to withdraw consent: Withdraw consent for any non-essential data processing (e.g., job placement sharing, marketing emails) at any time without affecting your program access.
- Right to data portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format (CSV or JSON).
- Right to nominate: Nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of your death or incapacity.

Children's privacy
ProdXVerse programs are intended for individuals aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 years of age. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately at privacy@prodxverse.com and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will:
- Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
- Send an email notification to all enrolled students
- Post a notice in the ProdXVerse Discord community
Continued use of our services after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
